Deveny Rosebrock is a skilled event planner, marketer, graphic designer, and customer service guru. She has been in the Adrian area since her freshman year at Adrian College in 2003. Her work at The Croswell from 2008-2011 only served to deepen her love for the Adrian community and its historic downtown. Currently, she is employed as an events manager for the University of Michigan School of Kinesiology, giving her a unique opportunity to stay at the cutting edge of food and beverage trends in the state and expertise in creating exceptional and memorable customer experiences. She prides herself in being a "Jill-of-all-trades" and loves working on the branding and marketing for The Buzz while also testing her creativity in the kitchen, at the espresso machine, and at the candy kettle. Her appreciation for clean and natural foods can be seen in some of the marketplace offerings, but that doesn't negate her passion for coffee, chocolate, and melty cheese.
Ben Rosebrock is a college administrator/educator by day and lead chocolatier by night. He has lived in Lenawee county for 19 years, is an Adrian College alumnus and currently employed as the Director of TRIO Student Support Services at Siena Heights University. Since high school, Ben has dreamed of owning his own chocolate shop to make old-fashioned fudge, caramel corn, and confections on marble slabs. He was trained as a chocolatier when working at a summer job and fell in love with the art of making fudge. In July 2016, in addition to their full-time jobs, Ben and, his wife, Deveny co-established Treat Handcrafted Confections, LLC. Products were created from their own kitchen and covered under the Michigan Cottage Food Law. Ben’s signature soft, buttery caramel recipe became a local favorite and people flocked to find the “chocolate people” at local fairs and festivals. The Buzz Cafe and Marketplace brings Ben’s dream to a reality, moving from cottage food into brick-and-mortar while joining the revitalization effort in Downtown Adrian and expanding product offerings to include old-fashioned fudge, caramel corn, and other specialty treats.

We love our community, and we make that apparent in everything we do. We work with and support local businesses, service providers, and artists. We offer Michigan-made products in our marketplace and, of course, are proud to serve Detroit-roasted coffee by the Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company.
We believe in celebrating the simple joys of life - a great cup of coffee, comforting tomato soup with an ooey-gooey grilled cheese, a sweet and chewy caramel just like grandma used to make. We choose to use quality ingredients in everything we make, which means we don’t have to get fussy and fancy to bring you something truly special.
With this much coffee and chocolate, it’s impossible not to have fun! We’re positively buzzing with excitement to serve you. At The Buzz Café and Marketplace, we love what we do and the people we do it for. It is our aim to brighten your day, every day.
